Billing and plans

How usage is counted

Rendering costs money because generating narration audio and avatar footage costs money. Decodx makes that explicit rather than hiding it in a credit abstraction:

  • Every job is estimated before it runs, broken down by what actually costs money.
  • You approve the estimate; nothing paid happens before that.
  • Cached work is not re-charged. A re-render that only touches one scene is priced like one scene.

That last point is the whole economic argument for Decodx — see How it works.

How the estimate is worked out

One AI minute covers each started minute of finished video. A scene with narration stays on screen long enough for its narration to be spoken at your project's voice speed, so the estimate counts that full length — the same length the video renders at, and the amount a render uses. Avatar footage counts at a higher rate because it costs more to generate. If nothing changed since your last finished render, rendering again is free. The estimate next to Render video also shows how many AI minutes you have left this month.

Managing your subscription

Change plan, update payment details and download invoices from billing settings. A billing portal handles payment methods and receipts.

Need more minutes?

As a rough guide, 1 AI minute makes about 1 minute of narrated video, so the meter in billing settings shows how much narrated video your minutes left will make. Anyone in the workspace can choose Request more minutes, there or whenever they run out. Add how many minutes you need and what they're for if you like. Our team and your workspace admins are notified, and we reply by email. A workspace can send one request an hour.

Your account

Profile and preferences, two-factor authentication, and active sessions are managed in account settings, separately from workspace administration.
