# Share links and the player

A share is a published link to a finished video, its guide, or both. It carries its own permissions
and its own analytics.

## Creating a share

Share from a finished video. You get a link on your Decodx domain that you can send, embed or
publish onward. **Share links** in the sidebar lists every link you've made.

## Permissions

Set who can open a share before you send it. This is the setting people most often get wrong in
their first week — a link intended for one customer is easy to make public by accident.

## The interactive player

Shares can play as a normal video, or as an **interactive walkthrough**: the viewer clicks through
scene by scene at their own pace, rather than watching a fixed cut.

Interactive mode changes the rhythm:

- Scenes marked to advance automatically roll into the next one.
- Scenes marked to wait hold their last frame until the viewer clicks.
- An end card can carry a call to action with a real destination.

Autoplay starts muted with captions visible — always allowed by browsers — and the viewer's first
click on the sound control is what enables audio.

Every video on this documentation site is an interactive share. That is what the players on these
pages are.

## Comments and reactions

Viewers can comment and react on a share without an account, so feedback comes back attached to the
video rather than in a separate thread.

## Shared pages

Group several shares into one page when a single link should carry a set — an onboarding series, a
release's worth of feature videos.
